Help - multi vehicle insurance policy needed

Hi
I've been looking online to get my Suzuki Rascal (sooty van) and old K reg micra insured on the same policy, or something rather than having 2 policies. I just can't afford it anymore and need to look into other insurance options. And yes, I'm a devotee of MSE pages to get great insurance quotes lol
Only me to drive, and I can only drive one at once! Problem seems to be that the van is classed as commercial and the micra as a normal car. I have to keep both on the road as I have to provide transport to my disabled sister (we can't do mobility car - she can't drive now and I live 100 miles away, and its too expensive for her anyway. In an ideal world, a single new vehicle would be good, but not poss at mo - gotta use what we have)
Any suggestions or ideas most welcome. I don't know exactly what to ask insurance companies for, or if there are companies that specialise in this kind of thing.
Thanks folks!
Lizzie

Insuring with the same company normally attracts a discount - ie with Admiral or Direct Line - but you always have 2 policies. There are multi-vehicle policies out there with companies such as Primoplc and Towergate but you generally need more than 2 vehicles and the major problem is being able to put the van on a private car policy. That said try Direct Line first because they also insure vans. The man without a signature.0
