didn't take down ticket ref no!!!! HELP

Hi there,
Can anyone help/advise please. Bought tickets from railsaver on the internet and didn't take down ref no for picking up tickets have haven't received a confirmation email. Tried phoning but you only leave a message and someone shoudl phone back. Not feeling hopeful. Anyone any idea as to what I should do? They charge £10 to cancel tickets which I can do over the net, but can't understand why I can't query email confiramtion over the net!

Any help would be fab. Typical have booked a day trip for whole family, will never hear the end of it....

How long ago did you order?

    Have you checked spam folder?

Does the site have a section you can login to and see your orders?

Don't buy tickets from any other source than the Train Operating Companies (TOCs).

Sites like railsaver DO NOT offer fares cheaper than anyone else.
They charge booking, card and postage fees, the TOCs don't.
If you get problems the TOCs are much better to deal with.
The TOCs often have special offers on their own sites which railsaver, and others, won't show.

  • Hi there
Have checked spam folder, nothing there. Ordered the tickets last night.

Tried to book tickets on the scotrail website and nothing would happen, tried with my sainsburys voucher too, giving cheap tickets via scotrail and that didn;t work either.

Just wondering if it is worth whole going down to the station here and actually speaking to a human, rather than this internet malarky. Still worried about no confirmation email, and husband away so can't check what has gone throu on credit card.

Worst case scenario. Did you order by credit card and pay over £100? (Likely if it's for the whole family) Section 75?

Also, switch your browser to offline mode and go through your browser history. The order confirmation page may still be in your cache.

Has the money actually gone from your card? I know sometimes with these websites you appear to have placed the order but it doesn't actually go through for some reason.
  • Hiya,
Tickets were only £30, two adults and two kids, train journey is only and hour each way. Tried to go back in but my session has timed out. I am just worried about no confirmation and the fact that when you phone you can't speak to a person, only leave a message. Beginning to think it is one person running the whole thing from their bedroom!

  • A lot of the time the machine may print the ticket anyway with the card that was used for the booking... You also should have an email confirmation so maybe the transaction did not go through.
if all else fails just try and explain with them at the ticket office.
