Various GB Stock Exchanges

Looking at share price for Tesco this morning, and it's one of those that's listed on multiple UK exchanges;

Symbol Company Exchange Country

TSCO:LN TESCO PLC London GB
TSCO:PZ TESCO PLC PLUS Mkt Grp GB
TSCO:EB TESCO PLC BATS Europe GB
TSCO:BQ TESCO PLC Equiduct GB
TSCO-TQ TESCO PLC Turquoise GB

I know the first one is the 'standard' London exchange, but any pointers as to advantages/disadvantages of trading on the others?

    There is an article in Shares magazine (23 September 2010) comparing prices between Chi-X Bats and LSE. Their conclusions were:

    "Price competition is keenest at the bottom of the FTSE 100 and any serious trader operating in blue chips should only employ a broker offering full access to all three of these markets" particularly Chi-X which offers a "deeper market at best prices" and has 35% market share by volume traded.

    Whereas in the FTSE 250 sample they looked at, they found the "LSE was only beaten once on price"
