Anyone used a Oven Cleaning Company

Hi all

I'm thinking about using a professional oven cleaning company (Ovenu) to valet my oven. Before anyone suggest it's cheaper to do it myself, I do clean it but just fancy having it valeted once a year just so it's cleaned in the places I can not get too.

Has anyone on here had this done and if so who did you use? also how much should I expect to pay?

thanks

Don't know any companies, but heard of someone who had it done, oven was taken out, steam cleaned and looked like new. Not sure of cost, but £40 ish rings a bell
  • Had it done a couple of times and paid around £45 quid each time. Took a couple of hours.

Highly recommended, they clean parts that are really hard to reach and it looks like new afterwards. (Pity I haven't been able to keep up to that standard!)

My mum used one and raved about it; she's having it done again soon. She used a local company in Chelmsford, Essex - if you happen to be nearby I can find out who it was...?
  • I had it done. Got a guy off Gumtree, think they are a franchise so will probably have someone in all areas.
It did the job well, but it also took a lot of the shine off of the silver, so if thats not important to you then you have nothing to lose.
But I find using Oven Pride,(b&M £2 quiddish) or regularly on offer at Asda/Tesco. I never pay the £5 for it. I can do just as good a job to be honest, I don't like touching the fan, so would use the professional once a year for that.

I have used Ovenu - oven came up like new. Cost about £60 - price will vary depending on area and which bits you have done. Having said that, if you have the time and don't mind the effort Oven Pride is excellent.
  • Thank you all for your replies. So glad that everyone that has had it done is pleased with the results. I'll also try oven pride when I do it next but I'm going to book someone to valet mine soon, I think it is worth it at least once a year!

    many thanks

Once you've had your oven cleaned, the following liner should keep it that way (if it is suitable for your oven):

I put things on one of those 99p non-stick sheets sometimes, i'd never thought about just leaving a sheet in the oven, well you live and learn.
