Comps board - search facility - potential chaos!

Hello,

I spend most of my MSE time on the comps board and I have just noticed that the search facility is not picking up any threads started in the past two days. This will cause chaos. Last time the search stopped working the board was full of duplicated threads and the board guides were kept very busy trying to merge all the posts.

Is it possible to have this fixed please before the poor BG's get bombarded with merge requests?

Thanks for letting us know. We don't seem to be experiencing the same thing here but I've asked the techie team to look into this. Can I ask other Compers if you're experiencing the same, or indeed if it's working for any of you?

Will let the tech team ask any other pertinent questions and hopefully we can resolve for you

SEARCH NOT WORKING

Further to weeowen's and Amilucky's reports. The last thread the search is finding is THIS ONE (search term "trinitysouth") posted at 0358 on 03/10. The next thread is THIS ONE (search term "mozambique") posted at 0656 and search is not finding it. Search is also not finding posts by username after this time.

That's 21 pages (and growing) of comps we can't search.

It's not been working properley since forums glitched on Sunday xxx I presumed it was under repair xx

The next (earlier) thread down has lots of reports of the same problem.

The search is also not working properly for me and as One-Eye has said
there are now 21 pages (and growing) of comps we can't search which is causing immense problems for the BG's and forum posters

Further details after checking out fermi's post #7

Search is finding threads from THIS ONE onwards posted 0657 today (search term "simkins"). THIS ONE posted at 0621 today is not being found (search term "dynamo").

That means threads from 0656 on 03/10 to 0656 05/10 are not being found.

ahhh that explains why i cant find 'newspaper summary' later than 03rd when hitting on the forum search button and just generally searching the whole of mse, so its not just the comps, but the whole of mse, or atleast discount codes n vouchers forum too
