What to do with £10k over 2 years

Hi,

I have £10k sitting in a Lloyds TSB savings account (and earning pennies on interest).

I know I should probably move it somewhere else, but this is where I need help!

I would like to be able to access the money in summer 2012, and don't mind a little bit of risk taking...

Any ideas of where I could earn the most out of it?

If you don't already hold three Vantage accounts with LTSB (each customer is permitted to hold up to three), you could open two Classic Accounts with Vantage, pay £5,000 into each and earn 4%AER on them (on balances between £5k and £7k) - £1,000 must be paid into each account monthly (e.g. Standing Orders for £1k from account A to B and B to A on the same date each month).

If you only wish to invest for a two year period you really shouldn't be looking at anything other than a deposit account. Asset classes, other than cash, are too volatile for such a short time period.
