MicroSDHC card to use with phone - speed important?

I'd like to get a 16GB MicroSDHC card to use with my Symbian mobile. It's for storing music + offline spotify files + maps for the GPS. Does the speed of the card matter or should I just get the cheapest?

Playing music & video on the phone will need a decent speed card.

Also if taking pictures a decent card can have quite a speed difference when saving files from a 5mp camera.
Snapping a 2nd and 3rd image before a cheap rubbish card has saved one.

My personal preference is to never go for anything below class 6. For some hardware, especially my LG phone, the difference in speed is definitely noticeable.

I had phones that won't work at all without at least a class 4. Ebay is notorious for sellers shifting low class ones to the unknowing (like me 1st time around!)

Class 2 Sandisc failed on my Symbian Noia 5800 with constant errors .

Play.com own brand 16GB class 2 works fine on my Android Galaxy .

Satnav needs a decent speed. It'll help reduce the time spent planning routes and re-routing.
