Hi there Im currently separated from partner and have six year old daughter. Moved back in with parents. I am working 16hrs per week but is likely to reduce to 14 after christmas and I know I need to be working 16 to get working tax credit. If I take on a work from home job to make up the hours and declare my earnings properly with HMRC, or take on a cleaning job or something aswell as regular job will I then qualify for working tax credit?. I dont claim any other benefits.

Yes you can combine jobs to make up the 16 hours and one of these can be your employment and then some self employed hours like you suggested.0
