put a sticker on your mail box saying
"please P739 all items that are too large for my letterbox(do not leave safe),and I will collect them from the delivery office.Many thanks"

It could be that leaving the packages has been the way its been done before die to it being( i assume) internal boxes0 -

Wouldnt it be easier to ask the landlords to install individual letter boxes so that this doesnt happen?0

My daughter used to live in a block of apartments like that and a lot of parcels were just left on top of the mail box because they wouldn't fit in the slot and she never got some things she had ordered, too irresistible for some people to leave alone.
She decided to send herself a few parcels with a load of rubbish inside, they too went missing but then the thieving stopped, they either moved or thought they were being watched.0 -
