how to find out where a draft is coming from

hi i live in a 2 bed terrace with 9 ft celings and with solid walls so cannot have wall insolation but i have had new boiler and rads fitted and had the loft insulated but the house is seriously cold and there is this draft driving me mad i can feel it but carn't find out where it is comeing from i have got upvc windows and doors and i have sealed them on the out side what is the best whay to find a draft because if i turn the heating on it will get to say 20 degrees and within like 30 mins it will be back to like 15 degrees any ideas ??:mad:

    Have you got any incense sticks ..you could always light one and see where the smoke goes for .

    Hot air rises, cold air sinks. Have you got an area upstairs that's unheated, or cooler than downstairs? It's not unusual to feel a draft around the stairs - could it be something like that? Start by just keeping the bedroom doors shut and see if that makes a difference.

    Your draughts are thermal air currents as the hot air moves around and out through the uninsulated structure, or up to the high ceiling before cooling.

    Positioning of radiators can sometimes minimise draughts

    We live in a terraced house, and found when the wind blew the carpets used to belly up with the draught coming between the floorboards. So we put down hardboard on them. Works pretty well. So I think eco-friendly may well be right.

    a simple candle will find any draughts.
