I'm trying to cut my electricity bills. I've got a monitor from eon which clips to my meter, but it's not working properly (either a faulty clip or interference from another monitor nearby apparently ). In the meantime, I thought I'd try one of the monitors that you plug individual appliances into and see if that turns up anything useful.
Have any of you used one of these and can you give me any pointers on which is best, and where sells them for a reasonable price?

Lidl/Aldi sell them from time to time cost around £6.99.
Mind you if you look on the rating plate on your appliance that will tell you what it consumes.
