    OP has inherited the residue of an estate (her mum gets the first £125,000). The house will be put in joint names. She wanted to know whether she would still be entitled to full HB. ;)

    Just out of interest, what would happen if say you inhereted half a house along with your sister, but they lived there and could not afford to buy you out..? Would you be stopped HB immediately, or would you be given time to explore legal avenues and still claim.
