Got a speeding ticket, but my licence is still registered to my Parents address

Hi,
I received a speeding ticket yesterday via the post for doing 80 on a 70mph motorway (a bit harsh, but as I was speeding I don't intend to contest it). However, I have not changed my paper licence address from my Parents to my current house. I realise potentially there is a fine etc attached to this (and I have tried to change it twice but have not managed to fill the form in correctly yet), but does anyone know for certain if it will be a problem please?
Any advice?

Same here, wrong address. I'm just filling out my form now. My license is missing so I won't need to own up but will have to pay for a replacement.
My old one is showing an address from two houses ago. Apparently, it's a £1000 fine if you need to produce your documents to the police.de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
That's just reminded me that my paper licence still has my parents address on it...! I didn't realise it was that serious.0

OK - just ordered the form off the internet. I have to say, I've tried to do the form before and not got it right (twice). I don't think I'm particularly thick?
You arn't worried about not being able to send in your licence to get it endorsed whilst the fine is going through?0 -
I wouldnt suggest anything illegal, but as its your parents address you are contactable. How would anyone know you didn't live there. Maybe you use the address for all your mail etc. The important thing is you have been notified. So are answerable to any summons from a court.0

I was told it is an offence to not have your driving license registerd at the address you are living, this was by a copper who pulled me over.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

Can you send them off to be endorsed at the same time as an address change? If not maybe you could have it sent away to be endorsed then when it comes back (to your parents address) get the address changed then?Weight Loss - 102lb0

On a related topic, my sister's car was nicked a few months ago, but when the police tried to contact her to tell her they went round to our parents' place instead of her new house. It obviously takes a while for all of the systems to update, so I wonder what legal backing you have for saying "I moved house and didn't get the speeding ticket"? Does the fine increase if you don't pay within so many days?0

IIRC, it is an offence to fail to notify the Secretary of State of a permanent change of address within 3 months. I.E. you have three months to notify the change of address. You might be able to get round it by saying you haven't had a permanent address since you left your parents' house. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
