307 3rd service at Peugeot garage??

Could someone give me some advice please...

My 307 Diesel is due its third service, the peugeot garage has told me it's gonna be £265.

Does this seem a bit steep? Would I be better off going somewhere else?

Does seem a bit steep. Ive got a 20K service today which will cost £190.

I would try another peogeot dealer as a comparison,they often have different labour rates.,or may even undercut your price to get the work.I assume you want it done by a dealer rather than an independant garage.

I'm not too bothered where it's done to be honest, I'd rather not get it done at an independent garage that wasn't personally recommended to me. I'm fairly new to the area so don't have many people around who could recommend a good one.

I'd be happier going to somewhere like kwikfit/national.

The car has an extended warranty with it, would this be affected by servicing it elsewhere?

Things have changed now,you can go to a none franchised garage,providing they work to peogeot standards and use genuine parts,it can cause problems though,i replied to another thread the other day similar to this, have a look,others replied too. It may answer some questions,good luck
