I'm looking for a media player that will connect to a CRT TC. All of the ones I've found seem to only have HDMI connections.
It's for my cousin, she's looking for a cheap one to play her sons films with. She was going to order the sumvision cyclone micro from ebuyer but it only has a hdmi connection. I know the WDTV will connect via component but she doesn't want to pay that much.
Does anyone know of a cheap one that will connect to a CRT TV?
Thanks.

I can confirm the cyclone has composite cable supplied in the box. so you need to check the crt has white, yellow and red rca connections and you are sorted.
Actually my tv only has white & yellow connectors and it still works.
Western Digital do a mini box for under 40 quid as well.0 -
I find the WD-TV quite competitively priced at £29.99 at Maplins, which is worth the £10 difference as it also supports mkv & rmvb.0

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think the cyclone had anything but a HDMI connection.
I know the WDTV mini is worth the extra, I had the regular WDTV for years. So will let her know about both and she can decide which to go for.Sigless0 -

Thank you, that's such a nice offer. But sadly I'm a little far away.
She went for the WDTV mini, just ordered it now.Sigless0 -
No worries, the Xbox is just gathering dust and i'd rather see someone get the use of it, might not play the newer high def file formats but it was one of the best media boxes i've used0
