internet/bt cancellation

i moved in with my ex in march, took out internet with O2 and phone line with BT...we broke up and moved out...and i moved somewhere already with phone and internet.

I am assuming I have to pay until I've had them 12 months then cancel it?

If you signed a 12 month contract then that's what you'll have to pay.

Most BT contracts I've seen are for 24 months so please check and be sure.

    Good luck.

Or you can pay them the rest of the months that are owed under the contract up front rather than wait 12 months.

You are probably better doing that, as you will be liable for all calls made until the service is terminated.

Contact suppliers and ask them for the cancellation cost - unless whoever takes over the flat is willing to take on the contract and the supplier is happy to transfer the contract... make sure if you go down that route that all is confirmed by the supplier in writing.
