Asda online - Poor!

I have just received my (second only) Asda online order, I had a free delivery coupon, so I thought I would give them a whirl.
It came today - out of £60 worth of shopping - the total that was delivered was £2 (2 packets of Jacob's Club biscuits!) - the rest of my order was 'out of stock'. Although I had marked down that I didn't want substitutions, I really didn't think so much of my shop was going to be unavailable.
I phoned up customer services and the woman who I spoke to said that that amount of out of stock items seemed quite suspicious, so she phoned through to the Southampton store who processed it who then confirmed that the items were unavailable.
She said that she had never seen such a large amount of shopping unavailable, so I suggested it would be a nice thing if maybe I could have another free delivery code to try again next week.
She said NO! She said she had already asked the Southampton store when she had phoned though, and they had said no to a free delivery code!
I then asked for my account to be closed, as I was fuming bonkers by that point, but actually still laughing because I couldn't believe that the driver had tried to deliver 2 packets of mint clubs!
Thankyou for listening, I feel a bit better now! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have to confess, I do a fairly regular shop with Ocado (quite pricey, BUT) and I haven't had a single complaint. Drivers are brilliant, customer services outstanding. However much I wanted my bargain Persil........I'm not sure it's worth ordering online with Asda again. I still can't believe all they delivered was 2 packets of Clubs!
Bizarre!

Oh, Rednblue, I hate to laugh at your plight but that's about the most rubbish thing I've heard yet about online shopping! A 60 quid order and all you got were two packets of Club! The look on your face must have been priceless!
Bin Asda. There are so many complaints on here about their online shopping service. Go back to Waitrose. You get what you pay for...."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

So you received 2 packs of jacobs club biscuits, thats horrendous, surely they could have phoned you to say "sorry to say but x amount of items are out of stock, would you wnat the ones that ar ein stock"
what a daft system and waste of petrol to deliver 2 packs of club biscuits0 -
