It seems to be the case that entries sent to PO Box numbers usually have to be on separate postcards because a handling company is involved and it's easier for them. It's entries for other addresses that are more likely to allow AIOE.

while we are on the subject of comps. from Gadget Show, Fifth Gear, Europa and also other biggies like NCIS, CSI, Flash Forward, The Mentalist etc etc

Has anyone from this site ever won using the postcard option? I have checked in IWIWIW but I can't find any pc winners.

I'm sure since these are national tv comps with millions of viewers that they get millions of entries...pc and text alike...but I am just curious if a MSEr has ever scooped the big one? Or, if there's anyway to find out if a past win has come from a pc entry?

On a brighter note, I hope the weather is better tonight for the fireworks...last night was a bit of a washout...well, in Suffolk anyway

I was wondering the same thing - I too haven't seen any winning posts... Can anyone shed any light?

Firstly, I am an Optimist and my work revolves around finding the best in people, but I was wondering the same....I have yet to win anything from a PC comp and I often wonder, since their companies make a lot of money from the texts/phone entries, why would they give out a valuable prize to someone who has sent a postcard to them when it does not profit them?

I'm hoping that they have a code of practice and, for example, pick a text winner one week, a phone one the next, followed by PC winner after that.....it would be good to know for sure and it would probably help them to put such info in the T&Cs. No stopping me entering them though...FW

I've won bare stuff (bare as in lots/many/loads - it's teenspeak you see. I get it off my kids :rotfl:) by sending off a postcard
