Using legitimate codes together to get a bargain is fair enough. But the site clearly now has a glitch and is allowing people to order lots of items for no more than P&P. Whether people choose to take advantage of that or not is up to them - but I'm not sure that laughing at the company losing out is a very nice thing to do. Those people are doing a job just like everyone else.

I'm sure if a shop or other supplier took our money multiple times for something we'd bought because of a website problem we'd be pretty horrified to know someone was sitting in an office somewhere laughing about it.

Use the glitch if you must but don't take the p*ss out of MB for it.

You can get down off that soapbox of yours now.

I wasn't taking the p*ss as such, just had images in my mind of them running round trying to sort it out.

Personally i placed 2 orders and that's it for me, i could carry on and place loads but i won't as i would feel that IS taking the p*ss.

Your post came across as if you were laughing at MB for panicking about what they're going to do, and you used the ROTFL smilie. It it wasn't what you intended, then fair enough, but that's how it read to me. :)

I'm not on any soapbox; I just don't think that laughing at a company for panicking about how not to lose money is funny, that's all. And as I said, that's how your post read to me.

JMO, don't get mad with the 'mad' face! :D

If it's a big issue for them (and presumably it must be) why on earth don't they take the site down temporarily and let the techies fix it? In fact my neighbour is in computers and she says they wouldn't even have to do that, just disable the bit that adds on codes and modify the Marie Claire code. Odd that they are just allowing it to run..

No it isn't what intended but with hindsight maybe a ROTL smilie wasn't the best one to use. :o

Perhaps they haven't even realised it, yet...as the gel code expired on Sunday, the remaining one is the MC code for which the glitch only appeared today (I think it was first reported on this thread this morning?). I can't imagine someone monitors sales all day - they probably review it less frequently than that, and it might not be picked up for a few days.

Even without the codes their site is glitchy! I apparently have a whole basketful of stuff right now - except there's actually nothing in it...! :D

:D Fair enough! Sorry if I sounded soapboxy - I certainly didn't mean to. (Plus, any soapbox I stood on would probably be crushed under my forever increasing weight...)
