I would say that so long as your drive can write to dual layer DVDs, you just pop one in and the software will do the rest. I don't use convertxtodvd, but their online documentation mentions it:
For Dual Layer (DVD-9) we recommend 2x.
so I assume it will do the job.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I use IMGBURN
But you might struggle finding decent quality dual layer dvds
Ive always used datawrite titaniums which are the only ones that have worked (tried about 5 types now). Seems they dont make them anymore though and stocks are running pretty dry.
Assuming you have a decent dvd then its simply a case of burning it direct to dvd (Need to select UDF as the file system):idea:0 -
The customer reviews for the Verbatim DVD+R DLs at Amazon seem quite positive...
(Obviously check that your DVD writer does DVD+R DL!)0 -

I was going to try those next (or maybe the TDKs):idea:0 -
my dvd rewriter is a lg internal super multi dvd rewriter,it says on the box dvd+r dual layer,dvd-r.
my dvds are aone plus dual layer gold edition(ebuyer).
im in the process of extracting video ts with winzip pro,i thought this might be easyier for me to burn it to dvd.
if not i will try imgburn.0 -
dvdshrink, amongst others, will ...er..shrink that 7.3Gb video down to a more manageable ~4.2Gb..which would then fit on an ordinary, inexpensive, single layer disk.
When I last used it (several years ago) I struggled to tell the difference between the original and compressed files.Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -

Im not even sure what your saying
I assumed when you said video ts 'file' then you meant a single file. A VIDEO_TS 'folder' is what dvds use (But its a folder full of smaller vob files etc)
Neither will be of any use if compressed, and yet you use the terminology 'extracting'? Exactly what are you using winzip pro for? (A compression program)
You mean your making the filsize smaller to fit onto a single layer disc? Well for one, im pretty sure it wont compress that much (If any) and for another, it wont play on anything:idea:0 -
ive burned it onto a dual layer dvd+it plays fine on my dvd player(not pc dvd player).
thanks for all your comments+help.0
