AOL platinum and speed problems

I`ve had speed issues for ages with AOL and i thought i`d ask for help on here before dumping them!I had BT check the line and i have roughly 2.6mb going into the modem but i only get about 0.4mb when i do a speed test.....whats happening?

Sorry, don't know how to help, but just thought I'd let you know (in case you didn't already know), that you can call AOL on 01179 191100 instead of their usual 0870 number. No doubt you'll be put on hold for a while, but at least it won't cost you the earth!0
