Hi, I'm not 100% sure this post should go here. Anyway, I've received a few surveys through the post from these people, but they are never addressed to anybody who lives here. So my thinking is that either:
Cheers
- They simply send them to random names at addresses, hoping that you'll contact them and say "that person does not live here", then they go "Oh, ok, sorry, we can fix that. What is your name just for our records please?". In this way they harvest your details and send you more rubbish.
- More sinisterly, that people are using my address for some nefarious purposes, and that this company has bought a block of customer data from somewhere that these theoretical impostors at my address have used. The bigger picture here is that my credit rating might get borked or something because of people using my address.
Cheers
