Mentioned this before, but I have a claim in for INR with Paypal. Seller uncooperative.
It is under review by paypal. I had an email yesterday asking me if anything had changed, and did I wish to continue. A warning at the end stated I had three days in which to reply or my claim could be cancelled. I replied telling them if that had been the case I would have let them know, so what was the purpose of the email and what would have happened had I been away for three days?
The reply was astonishing. I was told, quite firmly, that they were obliged to investigate before handing someones money over willy nilly (great old phrase). My equally firm reply was that it wasn't someones money, it is my bloody money, and the email asked for nothing useful in deciding the case. Also asked again what would happen if I couldn't reply within three days, given that I paid at the end of August and was still waiting. No response yet.
An eye opener for me. Reading this forum gives you the impression that all the clout is with the buyer. On this occasion, my first ever claim, it appears paypal are assisting the seller.

Personally if I was you I would phone paypal. They do sometimes have a poor understanding of their own rules.0

Just received a response, the case will be decided today. Also, if I hadn't replied they would take that to mean I had not resolved the claim and would have gone ahead with making a decision.
Believe it or not, an apology also for the tone of the first response.0 -

An apology from paypal, I may have to go and have a lie down.

Done and dusted, money back. I think I'll go spend it unwisely.
Just been followed up by an indignant email from the seller asking why I went to these lengths.
Rare event for me, but I'm truly stuck for words.
Still showing as two disputes requiring my response on my front page though.0 -

Your first line rather rmeinded me of this:
"I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars......the rest I squandered."
