An elderly relative of mine has £50k which she wants to put in a savings account. She doesn’t have or want internet access
I'm trying to find them a good deal on a postal/telephone or branch account - how do I find these? I've looked about but pretty much all good deals are internet based - which I expect due to lower operating costs on behalf of the bank.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

All of the comparison websites (e.g. Moneyfacts) list the ways in which each account can be managed. The rates do tend to be lower, for the reasons you've given.0

Hi
As the first response says there are plenty of comparison sites available, also link below to a site that will provide you with a report on the most suitable accounts that meet your needs:

Something a bit different to the usual comparison sites.

It would appear ING Direct Telephone Account (2.75%) might be your best bet.0 -

I think that's mostly comprised of a bonus for the first year only. Perhaps OP's relative will not want to play the game of switching accounts every year to chase bonus rates.0 -

Saga also do a telephone account at 2.75% but as another poster says rate drops after a year.0
