Help needed concerning cookies and spy ware please

Hi all
i'm new to cash-back and points collecting sites and since i started using them my pc has slowed down considerably so i scanned for viruses tonight and 40 incidents were found, all were cookies. If i cleared all these cookies would that interfere with tracking? Can i clear all cookies and any spy ware found regularly without it interfering with tracking?

Clearing all cookies would interfere with tracking. You could clear certain cookies, but not the ones used by the cashback site or their merchants.
