Clarks - fantastic customer service

Just had to share as I always seem to coming up against nonexistant customer service!

I bought my son's school shoes at the end of August and he has only worn them for school. I noticed earlier this week that the velcro strap wasn't working and was coming undone after he's walked a small amount.

Thought I'd take them back to Clarks but did so with trepidation after a bad experience a couple of years ago with some Startrite shoes.

Clarks couldn't have been more helpful - they could tell straight away that the velcro wasn't sticking as it should and asked what I wanted to do - which was a replacement. They checked his feet again incase there had been any changes and exchanged the shoes without any hassle and said to come back if I had any other problems! Fantastic service.

i agree, clarks has excellent customer services its one of those chains that you have praised, your mother has praised etc a much better shopping experience than buying shoes say in office with a load of uninterested shop assistants and music suitable for nightclubs !

All of the shoes I own are from Clarks for the reasons stated above, however last time I went in, there was one sales assistant in the shop dealing with a large family, with a queue of people waiting, which has put me off going back to that particular branch - good service isn't waiting by the till with a shoe to try on for 15 minutes plus!
