hello there
sorry to bother everyone but im after some info on ssp and what to do next
last october i had an accident at work which damaged my wrist after many visits to the hospital they decided to operate april 2010
since then i have been off work as my wrist is not strong enough to do my job at the moment(car mechanic)
im still signed off at the moment and the way the hospital is saying is that i wont be going back this side of christmas and even after that i may not be able to return to that job as my wrist is so fragile now
what i need to know now is what to do next as my ssp is coming to an end any day now (signed off since 1/4/2010)
i have been getting ssp every week and ive been getting housing benifit to help with my rent but when my ssp stops what do i do next as ive got a family to try and support i havent been claiming anything else apart from HB/council tax benifit and ssp
i dont want to sue the company i work for as its a family run bussiness ( sisters in laws) so thats not an option
sorry to be long winded about this and any help is very much appreciated
thanks pete

Your employer should give you an SSP1 form once your entitlement to SSP ends. You can submit this to the JCP and make a claim for ESA.Gone ... or have I?0
