can you mix nail varnishes to get different colours?

There's a long hair website with a forum. I wonder if there's one for nail varnish.

If you google 'nail polish franken' then you'll find lots of references for this. There are loads of nail polish blogs out there and creating 'frankens' (frankenpolishes lol, like frankenstein's monster ) is really popular. There's lots of advice out there on how to do it properly, and what mixes well and what doesn't.

Ooohh, do you think this would work if I mix a clear varnish with a drop of purple to make a clear purple one, I've wanted 1 for years but never seen one.
