Tizerbelle - why do you call your dog "big dog"? Is that actually his name?0

Just paranoia about protecting identify!!
I have two dogs, "Big Dog" and "Little Dog". It's an easy way to distinguish between them.
They do have "proper" names but are rarely used. In fact they have a host of names from "old man" - for little dog to "stroppy/grumpy/ignorant mare" for big dog!
It's a bit like kids I think - formal names only used when in trouble.
Mind you out on a walk once, crossed paths with an other owner with 2 dogs, quick chat and we set off on our seperate ways. I called out "come on little dog" and ended up with 3 dogs as other owner also called her smaller dog, little dog!0
