Birmingham Midshire internet saving accounts

Can someone tell me the difference between the 2 Birmingham Midshire internet accounts.

The wording is a little different but apart from that they seem the same except the Internet Easy Access pays 5.20% (with 0.65% bonus for 1 yr) vs 5.00% with the Direct account.

Here's the link:

Thanks

PS: I just want to put £ in for 1 year & want access at all times - surely its best to go for the 5.20% account isn't it?

It is all very well going for internet accounts if they let you set the internet access up.

I applied SIX weeks ago and I ended up closing my account today, because I rang SIX times asking why my internet account hadn't been set up, each time running up a high phone bill and they still didn't set it up. I waited for the set up token to be sent and it never came.

They are useless and their customer service advisors do nothing about it despite promising they will.

    AVOID!!!

I had similar problems with BM after 10 weeks and three letters they failed to set one up for me and I already have an existing Fixed rate with them which I have held for 5 years, it even took 3 complaints to them to get a copy of my certificate of tax deducted for my existing accounts, and even then I had to get it via a phone call as they forgot 3 times to post a copy!
  • Its seems whatever account you have there can be problems to some for various reasons..I have had no problem with BM and found there customer services as good as any others I have had to speak with. Mrs Happy
