And if that's not bad news enough - they have also discontinued their magix compact. That in medium is great for the days im working in the kitchens, evens my skin tone and makes me look halfway decent when I really don't want to be wearing make up (iykwim)
I was so happy that I could wear "cheap" cosmetics and skincare for the first time in my life, looks like Im back to the "high end" ranges again0 -
I absolutely love Liz Earle; it has a very positive effect on my skin by making it look smooth and polished (so it does exactly as it says on the tin....). One thing I do though is use a flannel rather than the muslin cloth. I find the fact that you're supposed to use hot water with the cleanser very important (I tried it a few times with cold water and it wasn't good) and a flannel holds the heat a lot better than the muslin. So I buy 2 flannels from Boots each month for a pound each. Almost all my skincare is Liz Earle now; really great stuff.Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0

I love Liz Earle too - my skin is really sensitive and I find that it's one of the few cleansers that works. The moisturiser they do is really nice too. As for the wipes, I bought some muslin from a baby shop (I forget which one) and cut those up - it works out MUCH cheaper, and as you have more you don't have to worry so much about washing them so regularly! They're not quite as good as the ones from LE but they do they job0

I used to use Liz Earle, and really liked it. However, some time ago I'm sure they changed the cleanse and polish - I found myself having to use more and more of it, so it wasn't lasting very long.
When Boots brought out the No7 radiance boosting hot cloth cleanser, I gave it a try and have been using it ever since. It does just as good a job as C&P, and you get 200ml for less than the cost of 100ml of C&P!
I do love the smell and texture of LE moisturisers but find they block my pores, so have switched to Boots protect and perfect day and night creams. These are more expensive than LE but they last for AGES, and are worth it IMHO.
I do miss the LE skin tonic, but only for the lovely smell. I use Tescos Bnatural toner instead.
The thing is, any skincare range is only going to be cost effective for you if it suits your skin, and seems worth it to you. You'll only know by trying it. I certainly wouldn't be put off by the cloths, they are very effective and I wouldn't use any other cleansing method now. It's not really a hardship to hang the cloth over the towel rail to dry and then wash it with your normal washing. I use each cloth two or three times before washing.0 -
Hi,
I'm another convert to LE. I've suffered with dreadful acne on my chin since I was a teenager, I'm now in my late twenties. I'd been using LE only a matter of weeks and the improvement was massive. Several months later and I'm ecstatic with the results. I'd struggled to find a treatment for the acne which didn't irritate my eczema.
I honestly can't recommend it enough. :j
I now use almost exclusively LE products (OH is steadily using up all the remnants of other brands!!)
I use C&P, instant boost tonic, skin repair dry, superskin moisturiser, superskin concentrate (I use either depending on the time of year and how my skin is feeling), daily eye repair, smoothing line serum, eyebright, superbalm, gentle exfoliator, intensive nourishment mask, energising body scrub, energising shower gel, hand repair, foot repair, foot scrub (these came with a TSV, not sure if I'll replace with the full sizes), and now the new shampoo and conditioner.
Yes, its not the cheapest range , but it suits my skin and I feel pampered everyday, which with severe eczema is something I've never felt before.:T

I think they removed an ingredient that could cause reactions to nut allergy sufferers. Not sure when they did that though, but it was in the last year or so.Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0 -
How long does on average does a 100ml bottle last if used every day?Seen it in JL for £13 for a 100ml bottle and 2 cloths..not sure whether to try this or SandG version.....0

Hi, I have just noticed in our John Lewis today that they are now selling Liz Earle products. I had a chat with the assistant and it does sound good, though a bit pricey. .
The toner (when its in the squirter) & the moisturiser are very good value.
The cleanse & polish is lovely but works out pricey.0 -

1 month if used once a day.
When I used it, I used cleansing oil in the evening as the C&P isn't that good for make-up removal (well not eyemake-up & the oil is fab).0
