Liz Earle skincare - is it cost effective?

Hi, I have just noticed in our John Lewis today that they are now selling Liz Earle products. I had a chat with the assistant and it does sound good, though a bit pricey. However, I was wondering if it might end up costing less than constantly using cleansing wipes as I do. The thing is with the muslin cloths, I don't like the thought of dirty cloths lying around and making more washing. I've just got rid of all my dusters and cleaning cloths in favour of cleaning wipes for the flat so don't really want to have face cloths to wash. How do others feel about this and the cost? I tend to use wipes for quickness.

It's funny - I've gone the other way and only use reusable stuff for everything. It makes hardly any washing and I don't like the idea of landfill being full of my wipes! Liz Earle stuff is lovely - it isn't the cheapest but in my opinion is good value for such a highly rated product. I'm glad she didn't put all her prices up massively when she realised how popular she had become!
Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.

I love liz earle - cleanse and polish is my all time fave cleanser, and I did get comments on how good my skin looked wen I use it.

If I wasn't on a no spend kick I'd have snapped up the QVC TSV yesterday was ssooo hard to resist as I haven't had C&P for AGES - but will be asking for some for xmas as a pressie.

as for the cloths - this is where the magic happens - I still use my clothes to brighten my skin without the liz earle product.

I prefer them to wipes as it's MSE to wash and re-use I use them twice b4 washing, and rotate (I have several from repeat purchases), I fold it and hang it on the towl rail so it dries and to wash just pop it in with your clothes so no 'extra' washing and I find wipes so wastefull (personal opinion).

I tried wipes for te house instead of clothes - but I didn't find they 'did the job' as well as a cloth and were sooo expensive - again personal opintion.

I'd say give liz earle a go if money isn't an issue, but you really do need to use the cloths with it or you don't get the polish bit and that the bit that REALLY brigtens your skin.

I used to be a great lover of LE but since she sold out to AVON I don't buy it.

That is possibly the answer to why Avon have stopped making the one and only ( other then Liz Earles) moisturiser that suits my skin

unfortunately, i can't blame anyone who puts longer term financial security of a business at the top of the priority list at the moment!

never used LE - but want to try the sample size one they have before i get a full sized bottle. i don't like the idea of throwing away lots of wipes. i have a couple of LE cloths that i use with other cleansers (my clinique soap never seems to get used up!) though - they are nice!

Am in the same boat! Only a few months ago used up my (small) bottle of Cliniques extra mild daily facial soap. It had taken me 3 years! Am now onto Purity by Philosophy which my mum bought me for Christmas, I am about halfway through and its been 6.5 months! I never find cheaper brands of facial soap last me half as long, maybe because I need to use much less with costlier brands to get the same result. Have yet to pay for my own facial cleanser though! (hand-me-downs and freebies :D)

I like the Liz Earle C&P but tbh I don't rate it anymore then other facial cleansers, it works well with the muslin cloths which I think are the real key and doesn't dry my skin out but I have found other brands which although don't have the same consistancy/look alike, they do work just as well. Having said that I think they are all similarly priced!
