Bank taking double their interest?

Have logged onto my online banking today as have been away for the weekend and have realised that the bank has taken double their interest and have sneakily refunded me:

REV OF DUPLICATE 02/10 ARRANGED OVERDRAFT INTEREST

I usually do not experience any problems with my bank, only on a few occassions over access etc...

I get a letter every month telling my how much interest i will be paying on my overdraft which works for me and when it will be taken out...

A phone call could of been nice for warning me that they have taken it twice and apologise for the error, but do not panic etc...

I am actually disgusted that they have done this without informing me!... esp as i was in credit and feel like they have stolen my money then put it back but that does not make it ok???

I for one do not expect the bank to take the interest twice, i know mistakes happen but when money is involved it is not ok.

Sounds like it has happened to a number of people not just you, but at least they corrected it. By the way it is not theft just so you know.
    Best Regards

You are kidding right? The money was refunded, no harm was done, you didn't incur any charges. NOTHING has come of this.

So should they not have refunded you?

Amazing. Bank makes a mistake. Bank fixes mistake without prompt from customer. Customer still angry.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.

Im cross because it is my money, its like when you get your purse taken wouldnt you be peed off??

It is my money not theirs to take, they took this money so means i was worse off.

gee i dont know why i bothered posting when i get nothing but offence back.

Customer discovers the internet. The modern means of being grumpy all the time AND in public.

It was an error that was rectified with no effect to you.

    You lost NOTHING.
