jeannie, I get the impression that you don't want to spend a fortune so Comet have a Bosch for £314. If you use voucher code 5200 this will drop the price to £298.30 including delivery. ( I got this information from the offer of the day website which is banned here so I can't give you that link). Depends whether you want to use Comet, with their questionable customer service reputation, though.

Hello
Exactly the same thing happened to us 2 weeks ago, we have had a dishwasher for years and to all of a sudden be without one with mountains of dirty pots virtually every day uhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was no fun!
I bit the bullet on Saturday and ordered a Hoover one from appliancesonline.co.uk it is a Hoover one for a bargain £200! This is the link:

This company are great, I ordered Saturday morning with free standard delivery then for an extra £9.99 they delivered it next day on the Sunday with a 4 hour time slot! Really 10 out of 10 to them I will always check them now when needing new appliances, I cannot reccomend them highly enough.
The other thing I got from them was an extended guarantee, now I dont usually bother with these in the first year of owning a new appliance but this was was just too good to say no to, £2.49 a month as long as we continue to pay the £2.49 a month it is literally covered forever! For a max of 80 years lol if it breaks and they cannot fix it they will give me a new one it even included accidental damage.
Sure if you want to spend 400 pounds + then the better makes are always Bosch and AEG etc I did not wat to spend that much and Hoover is a good make.
Anyway the dishwasher is excellent, it got a bad review on some review site for the top basket being too low so people were struggling getting dinner plates in the bottom basket, there is an error in the instruction manual the top basket IS adjustable to make it higher so accomodating big dinner plates stood up in the bottom basket.
Great dishwasher great company

Hi-
I too am looking for a dishwasher and am saving up my tesco vouchers to buy one from tesco direct (vouchers only face value though:(). I'll have to add cash I expect. Cheapest slim one was by 'Beko' at about £219 and I expect the parts are made by big name companies like Hoover etc, so not too worried. I don't know where else to look to get a bargain: may wait until Jan sales at Tesco. Not even sure I have room for one! All I know is I HATE WASHING UP

Hi Underpressure-
Just checked out this website and played the reviews for the slimline hoover and the standard one you've got. Looks great. Doesn't say anything about noise level though. Not sure which size to get now, I'm a single person who uses a large frying pan practically each evening meal which tend to take up a lot of room in a dishwasher. I suppose it depends how many times you need to put the dishwasher on each day (I was thinking only once late at night) and I'll prob have to buy a lot more plates etc.0 -
Same thing happened to me the other week. I had an Indesit which was OK but it fell apart quite quickly. It did last for about 4 years running at least once a day so I guess it wasn't too bad considering it was so cheap.
This time I've gone with a Beko. I did look at Bosch but the Beko wasn't far behind on the Which Best Buy list I looked at and it was a good £100 cheaper. It's not the quietest model but I usually run the machine overnight so this wasn't a worry for me.

We replaced our dishwasher a couple of months ago and I can heartily recommend Beko, they came out very well in Which? reports. I am delighted with it, both in performance and price.
Its AAA energy rated and model DSFN 1530
I searched around for best price and ordered from Laskys online, delivery service was good.0
