Car booting in a panda?

hi all
Desperately needing to shift some books/cds/dvds and kids clothes so was thinking of doing a car boots sale. Problem is I only have a panda car and not able to fit a table in it. I think buyers would be put off by having to bed down and rummage through boxes.
Does anybody else do it this way? Any tips or advice?
Alternatively can anyone recommend good ways to shift this sort of stuff other than ebay?
Thanks
Alex

It hasn't got a roof rack and I really don't want to shell out for them just to do car booting.

I don't have a car at all, don't know anyone that would help me with one either, I don't sell on eBay much because i seem to attract trouble so i just give stuff online via Freecycle/Freegle/netmums and if it goes wrong i dont get a neg or have to chase up missing stuff or attempt to prove to ebay that i'm in the right! lol - Netmums have a sale board if you are patient enough, i'm not so i just give everything (have 4 kids so lots of clothes!)

Do you live on a busy street? Could you have a 'garage sale' maybe?
If google doesn't know it, how should i?

Oh I do wish garage sales were more popular in the UK, I loved going to them in the uS and Canada especially where all th eneighbours chose a day and did one each, there would often be a fair like atmosphere and food vendors would turn up and we'd make a day of it.

There was a garage sale just a few houses down from us last Saturday, she didn't seem to have much trade, I don't think she sold a lot.

As far as car boots go, I was at one in Bedfordshire as buyer in May, it was packed, but I was still there as it was packing up, and I actually saw one of the sellers leaving in a Smart car, loaded with boxes, and 2 adults. She must have put stuff on groundsheets, there was absolutely NO way she could have carried any sort of table.

I'm not familiar with makes of cars, but I only have a Matiz and have done 4 bootsales in it making around £700 in total, a pasting table fits in last ontop of everything else

Thanks everyone. Oh I never thought of that Miss Laid, a Matiz is pretty similar size to a panda! I just checked and can get one for less than a tenner from Wilkinsons too. Now I just need to pick a decent one near me :)

Hi Alexandria, it may be worth asking on your local freecycle first for a pasting table before shelling out for a new one.

Just remember to put the table in last so it comes out first, also take a cloth, I use an old sheet, and a i bought a pack of 2 shower curtains from a pound shop, I use one on the floor for odds and ends, and keep 1 clean incase it rains and i pop it over the table to keep items dry

    Hi

Just a thought but If you know where you are doing your bootsale, phone them and see if they rent out tables, I know they do at some local bootsale where I live as i have actually rented them.

Cost me a depost of 10.00 and at the end of the day when I gave the table back, they refunded me 5.00
