Friend has lots of loans/PPI with B'lays-one letter for all?

Hello,
My friend wants me to help him with claiming the PPI he has paid over the last few years (going back 6 years) as he believes he could never claim on them. He has given me lots+lots of his paperwork but to be honest it's quite difficult to work out what loan is what! Please can anyone tell me is there a 'one letter fits all' that i could send on his behalf please that could incorporate all the loans/PPIs? Or would getting his credit report answer all questions?

Hi there

If the loan was taken out with the same bank/company and was mis sold for the same reasons, just as long as you apply each account number you can write on the same letter, or complete the reclaiming questionnaire (which replaced the reclaiming template letter on this site) you can write an enclosing cover letter with the questionnaire to confirm this applies to all account numbers XXXXXX and so on.

Send to whoever arranged and set up the loan ppi policies.
And remember to keep copies as well, in case you need to refer to it later on, such as complain to the FOS, where a FOS complaint form must then be completed (please note even though the reclaiming questionnaire is shown as FOS questionnaire - this actual one if for the reclaiming, but you keep copies.

They have 8 weeks to give a decision, but its likely they may ask for more time, because they all have backlogs.

Hope this helps, but if the loans were taken out by different companies, you then make a separate reclaim for all.

Hi, thank you for that, that is most helpful! Yes they are all with Barclays you see, the problem i have is working out just how many different policies he has/had as the paperwork is a mess!

Hi there, im just about to fill out the questionnaire for my friend who had 4 seperate loans with Barclays, there is a part where it asks 'What is the policy number of the payment protection insurance you are complaining about'. can i put all 4 policy numbers down please?

Yes if the reasons were all the same for being mis sold, you can write all the account numbers that apply, good luck.

Hi, ok at lonnnng last i have got around to completing the PPI questionnaire for my friend, my question is being as his claim is against Barclays, am i right in thinking that they will reply saying that they are putting all claims on hold until the court case is settled?

Hi there and good one, yes its possible, but stick with it, they should also give the opportunity to complain to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), but you could then stick out a little longer to see what happens or move on to the FOS, please be aware though the FOS also have high volumes of complaints, but do what you think best if it comes to this.
However, the FSA still expects banks to investigate complaints.

They have that many addresses lol, hope someone who have dealt with them will rectify but here is one here, post by recorded delivery and if this have not reached the correct dept they should forward this on for you anyway.;)
