A return to lax mortgage lending?chucknorris wrote: »I suspect the forthcoming poll 'do squirrels like nuts' might also have an overwhelming majority too
lol, reminds me of the non PC joke about the guy who takes a lot of people to a baseball game.
the punchline was when the vendor started shouting "[STRIKE]Pee[/STRIKE] pea nuts".
I'm sure you know what the joke was
have the majority in the poll been to see any baseball games lately

A return to lax mortgage lending? That's a really optimistic example, mind, as I doubt there's much going for £100k in Hounslow!
doesn't matter on the figure.
He could have £100k deposit for a £400k property.
If he got his 50% reduction he wanted he would then still have the 50% deposit for the then £200k property.
It's still unrealistic / untypical of a FTBer to jump straight into a property with such a LTV.:wall:

Quite.
I remember a friend of mine saying back in Spring 2008, after buying his first house, of having a "good" deposit.
It was 10%!0 -
Cheaper house prices
he was the man that told us that there were going to be 50% price drops before Xmas 2009... that was about nearly 4% each and every month for 12 months - unrealistic is not a word in Brit's vocabulary, deluded is...IveSeenTheLight wrote: »It's still unrealistic / untypical of a FTBer to jump straight into a property with such a LTV.0 -
A return to lax mortgage lending?Hmmmmm....some people really are quite sad!
thinking like a negative of a photographers reel, if this poll was out in the real world, you could get threads started in here with bold headlines saying: -FTBers do not want house prices lower
21% of people who voted in a loaded poll said that they did not house prices to lower
Fortunately it's only a select few that try and twist things or post loaded polls instead of discussing facts.:wall:

A return to lax mortgage lending? You know this poll is such a joke it should have been posted on housepricecrash for the ghouls to dissect as they'd all agree it's conclusive proof of prices crashing 90% by christmas, oh wait maybe next year, nope must be the one after that... etc...0

Cheaper house pricesThat doesn't make any sense. How can you have a 25% deposit if you don't know what you have 25% of?
How much is your "25%" deposit?
It makes perfect sense. Got offered a mortgage in principle where I turned them when they wanted to give me over £200k. Thought it too much to borrow and got them to change it to £185k during the meeting. Had been saving for a few years I have eclipsed the 25% deposit. However I still have to wait for prices to come down to buy.
PS I don't want to live in Hounslow not even for my first home it is a dive. I have had friends who made that mistake and now they can't sell.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.
