windows xp installation, CD drive broke

Hey guys.

I have a problem

Basically,

I have an old lenovo laptop, and I wish to re-install a fresh copy of Windows XP onto it

I have the windows XP installation CD, but my CD drive does not work.

I have a usb drive at 10GB

My drive is already partition in 3 ways with around 10gb in each drive letter in My Computer

Can someone help me out here..

you could try copying the CD onto the usb drive using another PC. or to a 1gig usb flash drive.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

Assuming you can alter the BIOS to boot from a USB port then an external CD drive would work.

Alternatively go onto ebay & get a new CD drive
  • I'm reluctant to buy new drive..

So how do I change the BIOS to boot from my usb disk/drive?

Once I've copied the windows files from my CD to usb then what do I do
