I made some this morning and they were lovely but just a word of warning they go rock hard when cold. Will definately make them again but know they are best served hot and not as a buffet type thing.0

I made some of these this morning to go in the lunch boxes. Quite a bit of cheese leakage so I think I try the 'one giant sausage' method next time.
They smelt fabulous while they were cooking
Will report back later with a review from The Smalls.

How did they go on with them Penny Watcher?
If there's anyone about who has made these, did you cook the onion first at all or does it not need it?
I'm going to make these for tea.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -
Hi - I made them the first time and didn't have an onion, so I used chives, but the second time I did use onion, but just used a small one and didn't cook it first. They were lovely hot but not so nice cold, but I just heated them up again and they were fine.Jane

Weellll.... not too well actually. The came back uneaten.I think it was because the were cold rather than hot. I LOVED them though! Nice with HP sauce :T
I didn't cook the onion either. As long as you cut it small enough it cooks anyway.

I tried this the other night, didn't have an onion so used some italian herbs instead. left it whole instead of cutting into slices. I found it cooked well, and the cheese didnt melt/run all over the place like some previous messages.
Kids loved it. Will try with mushroom and bacon next time.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0
