The thai's might want a letter if you had no proof of a booked return flight or onward travel , doesn't seem to apply to you so don't know why they mention a letter. You get a thai visa waiver for 30 days on arrival by air , but only 15 days if you enter by a land border.

You won't have to hang around for the visa , plenty of companies will do it for you if you want. Probably take a day , so plan well. Quite suprised your tour company hasn't planned for this , very odd. What have they said about the Vietnam visa ?

They just keep saying the tour manager will sort it when we get there but I have no faith in them whatsover...they have made error after error since we first booked.... icon8.gif

Sooo we need to take some passport-type photos (is it 1 for Cambodia and 2 for Vietnam?) and maybe download the visa application forms and fill them in just in case our TM does not have them.....?

looking at your travel plans , i'd be inclined to try and get that vietnam visa either in Bangkok on your 2 nights or the Siem Reap stop for 3 nights , the 1 night in Phomh Penh won't be any good. We got our visa's in chiang mai up north , took 2 days , but our passports had to travel all the way back to bangkok. Should be able to get it quicker while in bangkok i would have thought, and if you do , get on the case as soon as you arrive, most travel companies will offer this service for a small fee.
Ask your tour company where they intend to organise this visa for you.

Get 4 passport photos before you go and make sure you take a photo copy / scan of your passports main page , either save the image of it in an email or keep a printout with you.
