Extra payment from Lloyds!

I have received a letter from Lloyds saying that they made an error on the calculating of my PPI claim and that they under paid me by £208.94 and the cheque was enclosed.

I had 4 claims from them and I am wondering if its just some they have made an error on or if all 4 may well be due small rebates.

Anyone heard anything about this?

Will go and have a nose x
  • Lloyds must be absolutely spitting about this! It's so hard to drag anything out of them, never mind extra money.

Foggster, I'm in exactly the same position, and wondering the same, too!

Mine started with, "As part of our commitment to providing excellent customer service..." So very funny.
  • Me too Foggster - very well done :T

I find it ironic that they originally offered me a few hundred pounds by way of a 'goodwill gesture', this then crept up somewhat when I declined to accept and now they've ended up paying twice as much as they originally offered - with no further prompting from me, lol!

I'll also be watching out for the arrival of additional cheques as I have had an additional 5 upheld so far.......

    LL x

LOL, my hubby said maybe they did put ours together from all the loans, so i told him - no they state if any they will be dealing with them separately.

I just found out this afternoon that my cousin's mate was refunded over approx £1K from a settled loan ppi account as well and when refunded in Jan this year she received over £1K, so they must be getting through them.

Pleased for you all, but gonna do more digging on mine before cashing it, in case they made yet another mistake by over-refunding....... I rather check before cashing in first in my case.

Well done to you all. XXXX:beer:

Take courage, Di! They are obviously going through them all and realise they've made a balls up. My cheque is in the bank and it's staying there!
  • I wrote an email to Lloyds last night, asking whether the miscalculation applied to the other loans - I gave the numbers. I got this reply at 8.30:

"Thank you for your e-mail sent on the 2nd October 2010.

I can confirm that all of the calculations relating to all of the loans
    are correct.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Customer Care department on 0845 300 5599 if you have any queries."

Sounds like a standard one to me, but at the same time I'm not expecting any more letters!

    Anyone heard anything more?

    Hiya Bonnie

Not even received that message back yet, but saying that I didn't send mine until I got back last night, and my hubby did say he would contact them by phone when he got home, I would ring but he is far better on the phone than me lol.

If and when we have news I shall post up. X;)
