In case you didn't know, Costco now sell cheaper Continental tyres along side the Michelins, which was traditionally the only brand they stocked. Nice to have the choice.

Thanks for the headsup Ed. Good to know that Costco are stocking Contis. Contis produce some of the best all round tyres for most general cars - look at the recent Autocar and Auto Express tests.

I'm not too keen on Costco for tyres though - the faff of having to buy them, wheel them out to the fitting bay, fetching your car, having the fitter sit in your car with dirty overalls and brake dust covered hands, picking your car up with dirt engrained in the mats, door cards and steering wheel. I use Thurrock Coscto so normally I pop over to Elite in Rainham where they have a clean driver to move the cars around and are the same price.

When I bought mine, (Derby) I left then the keys, did my shopping, went back, and had the keys back with the car parked ourtside, as clean as I left it.

  • So fix the geometry of your car, don't whinge about the tyres.

I have never heard of a set of Kumhos being worn out in 2500 miles, unless they where being abused or the car, as already mentioned had serious alignment or suspension issues.

Or the car has had the mileage clocked back.
