Dungeon is VERY scary, even from the outside, why don't you have a nice relaxed day at the Natural History and the Science and save on money and nightmares? The Natural History and the Science are HUGE, there's a lot of walking, I don't think you'd have time to get down to Dungeon with two kids in tow.
I agree, it's quite annoying that each of the Natural History and Science museums take the entire day to do properly (or even longer than that!) seeing as they're right next door to each other, although I do love that they have so much. There really is a lot of walking, an entire one at once (never mind both in one day) might be too tiring for the both of you. I was absolutely shattered after a day at one of them!
For a 7-nearly-8 year old the Dungeons might be a bit much, although of course only you can know if he would enjoy it or be too frightened. If you want to know what happens beforehand, to decide if you should go, then I'm sure there are people on here who have been (as I've just been recently) and can tell you exactly what it involves. Also to note is there are a couple of rides during the tour and at least one of them has a 1.2m height restriction, however the actors will take you a different way if you aren't able/don't want to go on it.0 -
Well thanks to all your advice I have decided not to visit the London Dungeon with my 7 year old as it sounds too scary for him, plus I am quite jumpy as well so we would probably leave after a few minutes.
Will have a rethink on my itinerary and cut down Museum visits, as we are there a only a weekend I have a tendency to try and cram it all in.
Thank you all so much for your advise, never ceases to amaze me how helpful and knowledgable people are on this site.Money SPENDING Expert0
