Clyde's going to have the thyroid op on tuesday as the tablets aren't working. His liver is enlarged too. They've given me some new tablets to try - Felimazole.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

Poor boy, I really felt for you when I just read your 2 posts. Tess stopped her Felimazole on Sunday before her treatment on 1st November. I'm noticing a difference already, more vocal and hungry again. Have upped her rations again to keep her going.
Tess was much happier on felimazole than vidalta carbimazole, there's no way of the vet knowing which will work for them though. I hope felimazole helps Clyde and wish you both all the best for his operation next week.
If he's feeling down, some cooked white fish (served slightly warm so smells lovely to him) or some chopped up/minced prawns might cheer him up a bit x0 -
I've just cooked him up some fish funnily enough, with a little rice in it. He was getting very tired on the other, not his happy self at all.
I'm sure my friends think i'm mad, asking me if i'd be better putting him to sleep, well, that's not open to open to negotiation just yet. He was my first 'baby', and I won't give up on him.
Just waiting for the fish to cool down. He's starting his new tablets tonight at 7.30, and I feel happier now then I did before the vets this morning.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your support.
Clyde died today. He managed to get to the end of the operation and his old heart gave in, so it wasn't to be.
He's been my best friend for seventeen years, Don't know how I'll ever fill the gap he'll leave.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

I would suggest you get another cat asap. there are plenty of cats out there desparate for the love and attention that you have given.
