remote control for hard drive recorder

Hi,

I am trying to find a replacement remote control for my sony recorder rdr hx 525.

Argos seem to do lots of all in 1 which are compatible with sky boxes and freeview sets.

Does anyone know if these are likely to work with a hard drive recorder?

If not where can I get one?

One of the buttons that I use on my TV remote stopped working. Ordered one on Friday arrived yesterday, Saturday. Never used a universal before as never found them to totally replicate all the functions of the original.
