lololololololol a refund of a whole pound? was it worth it?

    Principle?

The fact that it's a Pound shouldn't matter. Why be so harsh about it?

A Pound gets a lot of things these days. If 'it's only a Pound' is the motto of many, then why all the signatures documenting how much people save? What's the point of that if a 'Pound is just a Pound?'

principle? you dont have any rights to return it even for a pound so whats the problem. if you buy something and change your mind tough, put it in the cupboard and forget about it put it down to experience. Same goes if you buy something today and its cheaper tomorrow, anything like that you cant do anything about it.

I had a problem getting a refund yesterday in the Sutton Coldfield branch on an unwanted product that I had purchased eight days before, for which I had the receipt. I was told that I could only have an exchange, as it is Poundland policy that a refund can only be given within 7 days. I buy a lot of goods from Poundland and could easily have exchanged the product for something else. However, there was nothing to tell me the information on my receipt, and when I asked where there was a notice in the shop to this effect I could not be shown one. A manager overheard the discussion and refunded me my money and apologised. There was a long queue of people behind me who saw all this.

Can anyone clarify the Poundland policy for me? I buy a lot of products from Poundland, and occasionally they are unsuitable and I need to get a refund. I have never experienced any previous difficulty with this.

We have a 7 day refund/exchange policy in place and this information is available on our opening times sign at the front of the entrance. I do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
