Hi there,
This is my first post and it's actually on behalf of my parents. They live in NW London and want to renovate their bathroom
Room is approx 3 x 2 metres
Remove old bathroom suite and tiles and replace with new suite - bath, toilet and sink.
Tile the walls and floor
Replace the radiator with heated towel rail
Fit recess lights in ceiling and paint ceiling
Remove all rubbish
Quote = £3400
Thanks for your help

Does it include materials? If not seems a bit steep to me.
We had a quote for similar work and were quoted about half that price, but we're in Berkshire.

The only material it includes are tile adhesive, grout, tiling trims, plumbing materials and paint.
Mum and Dad will supply the bathroom suite, tiles and radiator.0 -
Seems steep to me too. Had mine done 6 weeks ago and had varying quotes. Does the quote you have include VAT or not? I always hire not VAT registered workmen as it lowers the bills considerably.
My bathroom fitting for ripping out old suite, fit new bath, Wireless digital shower over, back to the wall loo, Shades cupboards and worktop, inset basin, fit vinyl flooring (with a marine ply underneath), tiling - including plumbing materials, marine ply and some downstairs plumbing; came to just under £1900.00
I supplied all the bathroom sanitaryware, shower, shower screen, flooring and cupboards.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -

Site unseen I would expect between £2k and £2.5k including all labour and building, plumbing, decorating, tiling etc materials with you supplying suite, tiles, cabinets, radiator etc.
Get two more quotes - then you have something to compare with on a like for like basis.

As a bathrrom designer and installer I'd say that was a bit over the top for install only.
Get more prices BUT make sure each is truely detailed.
Good luck. All together now, "Always look on the bright side of life..." :whistle:0 -
Very expensive. Had very similiar to yourself including plastering all walls, tiling, stripping out, refitting, underfloor heating etc - £1700 or so.0

Just had mine done and completed and cost me £2000. My bathroom is 2 x 2 metres and I had pretty much the same work as you requested (including plastering the ceiling but taking the rubbish away myself). I'm based in North London and the guys that did the work were fantastic and can recommend them.0
