I found a kids go free offer on the Heart Of England site if it's any help, it looks like a phone booking

    http://www.visittheheart.co.uk/vouchernew.aspx?txtSearch=cadbury&id=9d35f601-47aa-48ac-b845-80ab9f442969&voucher=4312

There's a voucher you can print off here, depending how many of you are going see which is of the offers best for you?

If you can't get a free ticket don't go. It is very disappointing. You won't see any of the chocolate making process, best you get is the pallet stacking line.

willy wonkas it aint! i went a few years ago, very disappointed, history of chocolate, with some shop dummys dressed (badly) as aztecs, quick look at a packing line, where its all behind glass (arficicully set up as your not allowed into the 'real' factory for health and safety then you end up in a cadburys shop where you can get most chocolate cheaper at tesco!. sorry to sound bad about it but i really was expecting something fun interesting and vfm, but it wasnt.

if you are coming to visit cadburys.... premier inn in Rubery which is a couple of miles away....
Cadbury world is ok, but nothing special...best to allow time to visit this and perhaps black country museum which is a great day out :)

I disagree with some of the above comments. It really does depend on your kids. If they are the inquisitive type that like to read things and watch demonstrations then they will enjoy it. If they want a theme park then they won't. It's not a full day out - 3-4 hours maximum and get then before it opens to avoid the inevitable coaches.

  • Worth remembering that Cadbury World works on a time managed system so it's always worth pre-booking your time slot - you don't have to pre-pay - to avoid waiting around! There is a 20% off voucher from discount Britain at http://www.discountbritain.net/Cadbury-World.html

We used Tesco Clubcard Days Out vouchers for entry. If you can get to Cadburys World before they open (either 9am, 9.30am or 10am depending on which day) then don't prebook. The reason why is that when we went all the prebooked people had to queue for ages to enter and as Tesco voucher users we were treated as cash payers and sent straight in!

thankyou people, some interesting comments may see if i can convince the children to do something else instead as its a three hour drive from where i am so if its not going to be all that great may look into something else, or see what else is around there to do as well. thanks again for all your comments.x

I went recently with my 3 year old, 2 friends and there kids 5, 7, 10, 10, we went to cadburys world on sat and east midlands safari park on sunday. We enjoyed cadburys world, and i have always wanted to go, Although do bare in mind like the previous readers said its not Charlie and the chocolate factory. Some of the bits where you have to watch tv programmes were a bit boring for the little ones and once you were in the rooms you couldn't get out, till the programme had finished and the automatic door opened!!!!
We also enjoyed east midlands safari park, took about 2 hours to get round, you van feed reindeer from the car, you also get a lot closer to the animals than you would in a zoo. There are rides that we didn't go on, because i think it was £13 for a wristband. Having said that the rides are actually quite good ones.
We stayed at Holiday Inn express in Oldbury, which is just off the M5. We got a family room for B and B for £49. We had to queue for breakfast and its half way between english and continetal (they have sausages and scambled eggs), all in all it was a nice hotel, free parking, a nice clean room.
The hotel has a pub next door doing 2 meals for £10, so we ate there and from all 11 of us there were no complaints, honestly the lovliest veg lasagne i have tasted in a long time, and i am the fussiest human alive.
We payed for both the safari park and cadburys world with tesco vouchers, which makes it much better value for money :)
