Praise: Clean-image Chelmsford

Having moaned on here previously about the appalling service I'd received with a bathroom company I thought I ought to write about the great service I've had from Clean image car repairs and care. This company is based in Chelmsford, Essex and provide a service whereby you can ask them to check your car over and they'll tell you what needs doing to get it up to scratch so you don't incur high lease return costs. They offer other smart repair services too which can be found on their website .

I took my car to them and they did a great job at a cost effective price. Great but they went beyond what they were paid to do.

The day before I was due to take the car to them, I crashed it. I called to cancel and they agreed I wouldn't lose my deposit despite the late cancellation.

Skip forward 2 weeks and I called them to say the car had been repaired and I could I bring it in. Unfortunately I had less than a week to get it sorted before the car had to go back to the lease company. They fitted the car in the following day (Wednesday). It needed more repairs than could be done on that day and the following day but they pointed out that the wing hadn't been attached properly. I then had to take the car back to Lookers to rectify the problem on the Friday with the agreement that I would bring the car back to Clean-image on the Monday.

Unfortunately Lookers again failed to fix the wing problem and asked for the car back on the Monday so I called Clean image again and asked if they could fit it in Saturday as it had to be picked up on the Tuesday. They obliged and couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating.

Yes they are there to make money but they do tell you if there's a cheaper option and aren't they aren't there to rip you off. A real pleasant change that ought to be applauded. :T
