No it wasn't the petrol light! She had filled it up yesterday morning with 20.00. Anyway I hope the AA mechanic would have noticed if it was out of fuel!! The AA man said he thinks Peugeots are terrible cars and are riddled with problems (mainly electrics) I must admit I would never buy one, the amount of problems she has had in 2 weeks is untrue, more problems than I've ever had! She wants rid as soon as possible, she has no faith driving it anymore!
To be fair to Peugeot you get good and bad - some people have no problems with their Peugeots and other cars are riddled with problems. You get bad examples of every make and model, although I will grant you that French cars to have a reputation for reliability issues.

Sorry! I know some folk will have trouble free driving with their Peugeot's and my Mum has just been unluckly, but the list of problems is worrying, especially as its only 7 years old and has only done 50,000 miles. I know French cars have a bad reputation for electrics, the AA man said the newer ones are worse, more electrics, equal more things to go wrong! She had a Ford before, how she misses the reliability (no major problems/breakdowns in 6 years!)
